Nicole Medina
About Nicole

She uses bold colors and detailed patterns to create eye-catching illustrations. Nicole likes creating surreal imagery that tells a story and has a sense of adventure. Metallic Fuerte by Nicole Medina
“I chose this nostalgic design and added stickers to liven it up and embody the phrase ‘fuerte,’ (which means ‘strong’ in Spanish). I chose to do the lettering in Spanish to amplify the sense of connection. Even if Spanish is not a language you speak, I believe in the power of the art surrounding it. I wanted to draw symbols of strength and use bright colors as a reminder to the Hispanic and Latinx community to celebrate our culture.” – Nicole
Nicole’s Metallic Fuerte design is featured on best-selling Erin Condren LifePlanners, lined notebooks, interchangeable covers, and canvas tote bags.
Metallic Spread Your Wings by Nicole Medina
“I chose a parrot design because birds are symbols of hope and freedom, which is relevant to the Hispanic and Latinx countries celebrating independence during our heritage month. I use this not only as a symbol of hope but also as a symbol of my family. Parrots are very common in Venezuela, so common that my Abuelita used to raise a couple of them. It’s important for me to honor my roots.” – Nicole
Nicole’s Metallic Spread Your Wings design is featured on best-selling Erin Condren LifePlanners, lined notebooks, interchangeable covers, and canvas tote bags.
