Lauren Hom
About Lauren
Lauren Hom is a designer, letterer, and educator known for her bright color palettes, playful letterforms, and quirky copywriting. She has created work for clients like Vans, Google, and Adobe and collaborated with us on our inaugural Asian Pacific American Heritage Month collection.
When she’s not designing, you can probably find Lauren cooking an elaborate vegetarian meal at home or finally making her way through the niche craft supplies she bought last year. In 2023, she plans to attend culinary school to expand her creative skillset and explore the intersection of graphic arts and culinary arts.
Squeeze the Day & Life Is Sweet by Lauren Hom
âSimilar to my previous collection, both of these pieces are inspired by my grandma and her silly, cheerful nature. I also drew inspiration from fruit because I have fond memories of her peeling oranges and grapefruits for all of her grandchildren when we were younger. In many cultures and families, sharing food is a big part of how we show affection, and I hope the artwork for this collection can help make people’s days a little bit sweeter.â – Lauren Hom

Jade by Cynthia Koo
âJade is a love letter to my culture. Filled with Chinese design motifs and starring my favorite dimsum item, Steamie Hagaoâa shrimp dumplingâthis piece is the culmination of my years of working on Wonton In A Million and struggling to figure out how to simultaneously honor the traditions, foods, and rituals of my culture, while sharing them with an audience that might not be familiar with them but whose hearts are open. My hope for this piece is that it brings you peace and inspiration throughout the year, while reminding you to always make time for food and dimsum.â – Cynthia
Dimsum Steam Team by Cynthia Koo
âIntroducing the adorable dumplings, buns, and pastries of the Dimsum Steam Team! If youâve never had dimsum, you can think of it as Chinese tapas for brunch. It consists of delicious, bite-sized foods eaten at a Cantonese restaurant usually on weekend mornings. Typically served on small plates and in bamboo steamers, with warm tea, itâs the perfect meal for sharing with a table teeming with family and friends. In Chinese, âdimsumâ sounds like âto touch the heart.â So, I hope this design âtouches your heartâ!â – Cynthia
